For years, chefs used Avocados from Mexico only for guacamole. The secret to opening up more foodservice sales was to motivate chefs to incorporate avocados into more of their recipes.

An integrated campaign consisting of internet solutions, public relations, advertising and sales promotion utilized endorsements of well-known chefs to add credibility and proven recipe ideas to the marketing message. The campaign allowed Avocados from Mexico to make significant marketing inroads (and pretty amazing crab cakes, martinis and ice cream).
